Anderson .Paak celebrates the power of music with a special performance of his Malibu song “Come Down.” The multi-talented artist, who laid the foundation for his career as a drummer in a gospel choir, performs the foot-stomping song in church with a choir as part of The Recording Academy’s “Believe in Music” campaign.
The uplifting performance video shows the profound effect music has on the human spirit— as the entire congregation dances together to the infectious tune.
Gospel Music Director and Paak’s family friend J’rese Mitchell collaborated with Anderson to create the gospel arrangement for the song. The cast features friends and family including Paak’s sister Camille and 6 year-old son Soul.
This coming Sunday (Feb. 12), Anderson .Paak is set to take the stage at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards with A Tribe Called Quest. He’s also up for two Grammys, including Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
