In promotion of his brand new album Tremaine, Trey Songz swung by both Power 105 for an interview with “The Breakfast Club,” and Hot 97 to speak with Nessa.
During his chat with Envy, Charlamagne and Angela, the R&B star spoke about some songs off the project in detail, including his work with Rico Love and Poo Bear. He shared his feelings on being in a devoted relationship vs. being a playboy, spoke about the music videos correlating with the album, and his approach to releasing the music in today’s streaming world.
Aside from the album, and his love life, Trey talked about working with Drake early on and seeing something unique in him as an artist. He also revealed that he has a batch of unreleased records with Drizzy. He addressed the situation with Nicki Minaj and their back and forth on Twitter, saying she disrespected him. Additionally, Trey spoke about R&B thuggin’ early in the game, taking a different approach as an artist early on in his career.
During his chat with Nessa at Hot 97, the R&B heartthrob address some of the similar topics, but revealed his desire to still carry the torch for R&B music, and being the leader in today’s mainstream markets. He also spoke about his mother, wanting a family, and dancing with Sade!
