There may be trouble brewing between Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana.
We can’t confirm the reports, but Page Six has released a story that claims the pop superstar and her billionaire husband are getting a divorce. Only three months since the 50-year-old Jackson gave birth to their first child together, Eissa Al Mana, the report states that a split may have been a long time coming.
Allegedly, Mana has been extremely controlling over Janet and her parenting. “She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts,” a source told the outlet.
The alleged insider revealed that Wissam wanted the superstar to wear less revealing outfits and stop doing sexual dance moves in music videos. These demands would apparently drive Jackson crazy, and made her feel like she was losing herself and not staying true to her fan base.
However, the final straw may have been Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, and the recent abuse case that she’s going through with nephew Trent Jackson. Janet saw that Mana didn’t seem to care about what her mother was going through. “That’s when Janet made her decision that there was no turning back,” the source said. “She was worried about her mother — and Wissam showed little to no concern.”
This is the third marriage for Janet, who was previously married to James DeBarge and René Elizondo, Jr. Janet and Mana have been married for five years.
