On Father’s Day (June 18), Queen Bey’s father, Mathew Knowles confirmed the reports, taking to Instagram to welcome his grandchildren. “They’re here! #beyonce #twins #jayz #happybirthday.”
Prior to her dad, an anonymous source told PEOPLE that Hov and Bey are “thrilled” and that they “have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends.”

Rumors that the Lemonade singer was in labor began to captivate the Twittersphere last week after a “significant amount” of security was spotted at a hospital in Los Angeles.
Beyoncé first revealed her pregnancy in February with a stunning maternity photo shoot. “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over,” the Carters wrote in a message. “We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.”
While the couple has yet to make a public statement, Jay Z did not show up to the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York this week, sparking speculation that the babies had arrived.
The superstar couple, who married in 2008, are also parents to five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
