The UK artist has been making a splash on Soundcloud with her captivating voice and her smooth sing-rap style. On Friday (June 2), she dropped her newest single, “Gotta Have Them.”
Producer SIX4 is on the beat for “Gotta Have Them,” marrying keys, tinkling synths, and a snare into a perfect union for Nakala’s voice. As for the song itself? It tells a tale of a girl who has her pick of options but who realizes only one lover is a constant in her life.
“I found, that I’m really happy with you, but baby, if you knew the truth,” she confesses on the track. Overwhelmed from having to “tell the lies with someone on the side,” Nakala uses “Gotta Have Them” to share her feelings honestly, insisting that if her lover stays down, she’ll take her places.
