Kiana Ledé is ready to break out, but not before she she has “One of Them Days.”
The Republic Records signee first caught our attention in 2015 when she was going under the name Kiana Brown and released her buzz-worthy “duets” mixtape. The project found the young singer/songwriter adding her own unique perspective to some favorite tracks of the year.
With the building blocks in place and a new record deal, Kiana released the promotional single “I Choose You” in early 2017, which she beautifully performed acoustically here. Ledé’s new follow-up continues to progress her mix of smooth R&B and airy 21st century pop.
“Feel like I wanna cry it’s okay / If I forget to smile it’s okay / And if I need some time for peace of mind it’s okay,” she sings out with reassurances to her bae. “All that I ask is, today let me sit in my sorrow / Promise I’ll be better tomorrow / The one that you love hasn’t changed / It’s just one of them days.”
