After releasing the single in June, Estelle lets summer lovin’ live on with the music video for “Love Like Ours” featuring Jamaican singer Tarrus Riley.
The British songstress celebrates and empowers deeply connected love in the island based visuals, directed by Denzel Williams. A couple, played by actors Gabbi Neal and Guy Peel Jr., portray the song’s message with moments of solo reflection and then soul-connected embraces in the beauty of their natural surroundings.
“Love Like Ours” will serve as an exclusive song on the Reggae Gold 2017 compilation album from VP Records, a series that has showcased the best of dancehall, roots, and lovers rock reggae for over two decades.
The song is also the lead single from Estelle’s upcoming reggae album, scheduled for Spring 2018. The project is said to feature a “unique fusion of lover’s rock, afro-beats and dancehall flavors anchoring her soulful, R&B vocals.” Speaking about creating the album and gauging her friends interest, Estelle said: “When I told some friends about doing this album, they were like ‘finally!’ Everyone who knows me, understands the deep connection I have to reggae music.”
