Roy Woods teases fans with an anticipated collaboration off his forthcoming album Say Less. The OVO crooner teams up with his labelmates dvsn and Philly rapper/singer PnB Rock on “Balance.”
Daniel Daley of dvsn handles the hook over sped-up soulful vocal samples as Roy sings about control. “I told you, don’t let them control you,” he pleads. “They can’t fit in your shoes.”
PnB Rock finds himself in search of a casual sexual encounter. “You don’t listen when I try to tell you things,” he explains. “But I ain’t looking for love, girl, I met you in the club / We was just high of some drugs / I hit you off in the bathroom.”
Following “What Are You On?” and the title track, “Balance” is the latest promo single off Woods’ Say Less LP. Also boasting appearances from 24hrs and PARTYNEXTDOOR, Roy’s highly-anticipated debut is due out on Friday (Dec. 1).
