Following “Liquor & Misunderstanding” and ahead of his new project Diamonds, 5x Grammy nominated songwriter Verse Simmonds delivers his best version of an anthem for Freaknik.
Teaming up with Cali rapper Kid Ink, the duo celebrate the bootylicious on “Rumpshaker ’18.” Over a ferocious beat by KE on the Track, the hitmakers melodically praise the ‘money-maker’ on the boastful banger.
“Kid Ink and I have been creating music together for a long time now, this song is just one of the many we have done together,” explains Verse. “Every time we connect it’s a movie! When Ink came up with the hook I immediately thought about the group Wreckx-N-Effect because of the ‘rumpshaker’ lyric in the hook – and from there it was easy!”
Verse Simmonds’ forthcoming project Diamonds will be released to digital retailers and streaming services on November 10.
