‘Twas a few weeks before Christmas 2017, and if you’re looking for brand new holiday tunes to add to your playlists we got you covered! This year has brought no shortage of festive new music, including stellar originals and unique remakes of Christmas classics.
The Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey was sure to deliver 2 brand new original songs this season off different movie soundtracks. Vocal powerhouses Fantasia and Lalah Hathaway got in on the spirits this year too. The later recorded a live rendition of the classic “This Christmas” for Spotify, and Tasia delivered her first-ever full Christmas album, featuring numerous retro-inspired gems.
Newcomer Ella Mai connected with her label boss DJ Mustard for a modern rendition of “This Christmas” as well for Roc Nation’s surprise holiday project. Veteran R&B quartet Dru Hill even returned with their first-ever holiday album, as did Chanté Moore.
