Earlier this year, Kendrick Lamar gave fans a R&B driven slow burner with his single “LOVE.” featuring Zacari, from his Grammy-nominated album DAMN.
Today (Dec. 22), the rap superstar premieres the Dave Meyers-directed visual, which depicts the good, the bad, and the ugly of a relationship.
Opening at sunset on a beach, K.Dot appears to be contemplating life. The video then transitions as he gives us a glimpse into the passionate relationship through dinner time situations. Where we find Kendrick laughing with his girl, then arguing, and finally drinking alone. From there, the fast life takes over, with street lights flashing, and beautiful women surrounding Kenny at a video shoot.
But it’s the memories of his girl that keep K-Dot coming for more. After riding around the city with Zacari, Lamar finds his way back home, where he is welcomed with a knowing, loving look.
