Fresh off the release of “Filthy,” Justin Timberlake has unveiled the tracklisting for his anticipated fourth studio album Man of the Woods.
The 16-song project appears to only feature two guest stars, signified only by their initials. Alicia Keys (“A.K.”) appears on “Morning Light” and Chris Stapleton (“C.S.”) on “Say Something.”
“Filthy” is the opening song on the album. Subsequent tracks include “Midnight Summer Jam,” “Sauce,” and “Wave.” Woods-themed titles like “Flannel,” “Montana,” “Breeze Off the Pond,” and “Livin’ Off the Land” follow suit. In the midst of all this music, there’s an interlude titled “Hers” near the middle of the project.
There are expected to be three more songs and videos released off the album before MOTW hits stores and streaming services on February 2. Two days later, Timberlake will headline the Super Bowl LII Halftime Show in Minneapolis on February 4.
The follow-up to 2013’s The 20/20 Experience is set to feature a fusion of “traditional American rock with modern influences,” with contributions from Timbaland, Pharrell, Chris Stapleton, and Alicia Keys. “This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I’ve ever written, where I’m from,” explained Timberlake. “It’s personal.”
