Exclusive: H.E.R. Brings “The Lights On Tour” to Paris

By

The lights were set and shining on H.E.R. during the buzzing singer’s tour stop in Paris this week. On Monday night (Mar. 12), the songstress performed her fourth show on the UK & European leg of her headlining “The Lights On Tour.”

The sold-out concert was held at Yoyo, Palais de Tokyo to the delight of her many Parisian fans. Singer/songwriter Tiara Thomas opened the show, as she supports H.E.R. across the 10-city tour. The venue was lit with hazy lights in blue, red and green hues. Known for her mysterious image and persona, the artist who’s real name is Gabi Wilson, still slightly hid under her large white sunglasses and full curly locks. She wore a grey camouflage pair of overalls by Champion and high heeled platform boots while rocking the stage.

A few band members were there to support, but the gifted singer/songwriter is also a talented musician who throughout the show plays keyboards, drums, and guitar. The hour long set consisted of the many fan favorites off her breakout EP series H.E.R. Vol. 1 and 2. Including by not limited to “Focus,” “Avenue,” “Still Down,” “Every Kind of Way” and her duet with Daniel Caesar “Best Part.” She also took on a couple surprise covers with Rihanna’s “Yeah, I Said It” off Anti and Ed Sheeran’s “Make It Rain.”

The songstress was magnetic throughout the show and displayed her happiness to be performing in Paris for the fans, some of whom she invited to come on stage and dance with her. The tour continues tonight in Cologne, Germany followed by Munich and Frankfort, then to Amsterdam and back to London.
