Accomplished musician turned artist Sonny Dumarsais (Due’Mar Say) is sharing his journey with the release of his debut EP, Transition.
The New Jersey native first discovered and honed his talents in church, later joining a band and touring nationally. Over the years his talent brought to him big stages where he performed with the likes of Ne-Yo, Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone and more.
As Sonny officially makes his ‘transition’ to the spotlight, he has much to reflect on, which he delivers with the 5-track EP. Released on March 9, the project gives listeners the inside reflections on his life experiences starting with his major adjustment, moving from musician to solo artist. The EP showcases Sonny’s signature R&B/Neo-soul sound, which carries the heart and soul of his life’s journey.
“Transition for me is about growth, understanding and being honest with yourself about where you’re at, and what you been through and being able to make it beautiful,” explains Sonny.
