Kehlani keeps the collabs flowing. Only days after joining Charlie Puth on “Done For Me,” the Tsunami Mob boss joins popular rapper KYLE on the radio-friendly new single “Playinwitme.”
The Cali natives chemistry is showcased across the catchy track about the games that people play in relationships.
“Girl, why are you playing with me?” asks KYLE over the playful instrumental. “Girl, who are you playing with? / You’ve been on that new stuff / I’ve been on that same shit.”
Accompanied by an acoustic guitar and piano keys, Kehlani later takes aim at a girl of her own. “Damn, why are you playing with me?” she sings. “You don’t even like girls / So I need you to tell me, baby, what you want just like the Spice Girls.”
“Playinwitme” is off KYLE’s forthcoming album, which also features 2 Chainz, Sophia Black, and Khalid.
“I have a record on there featuring Khalid that is insane,” KYLE recently told Beats 1. “I cannot stop playing it. I wake up every morning and I play [it]. It’s one of the best songs I’ve ever made. It’s featuring your boy Khalid and he snapped. It’s called ‘I Miss Me.’”
