When two R&B Freshman unite!
The breakout intoxicating single “Figures” by rising singer/songwriter Jessie Reyez gets a reboot with a “Reprise” version featuring fellow Canadian crooner Daniel Caesar.
The Freudian singer adds a new dimension turning the introspective track into a emotive duet about sticking through a troubled relationship.
“Wish that I could help myself / Give my love to someone else,” sings Caesar on the new second verse. “Stuck to you, you turn me into a fool / Worried about my mental health / All the pain that I done felt / Knocked me right off my own pedestal.”
The surprise “Reprise” will certainly catch fans off guard but in the most delightful way. Both Reyez and Caesar are leading a youthful, soulful singer-songwriter movement, and they have undeniable chemistry together.
