XO fans are getting hyped up as it appears The Weeknd‘s next album is on the way. It’s been almost two years since the Canadian singer’s third studio LP Starboy topped the charts, but his follow-up could be coming soon.
On Friday (March 2), rap star Travis Scott sent some fans into a frenzy when he randomly revealed that he’s heard Abel Tesfaye’s newest album, and that it reminds him of the XO boss’ early work. “Abel new album is scray,” he tweeted. “It’s like when I first heard him for the first time. Fuckkkkkk !!!!!”
It’s unclear whether a new Starboy and La Flame collaboration is in the works. If it is, it would follow their 2015 collaborations, “Pray 4 Love” and “Wonderful.”
The Weeknd recently won the Best Urban Contemporary Album Grammy for Starboy, which spawned hits like the title track, “Reminder,” and “I Feel It Coming” featuring Daft Punk.
