Rising Portland bred Alt-RnB crooner TYuS unveils a brand new double video off his latest project, Phases.
Opening with “Other Side” the visual follows TYuS as he has an early morning stroll through his city, showing some stunning fall colors. The cameras follow him into the woods as he perches up on a wooden cross walk and his love interest is seen hidden in the trees. “It’s about time that you realize / You need some downtime on the other side,” he sings.
The visual than transitions to night time as he grabs some drinks from a corner market and gets lit with a group of friends. “Drinks start pouring soon as I came through / We start explorin’ soon as I came through,” he sings about a hook up. “Know it’s been a minute but it feel brand new.”
Following the success of his 2016 debut EP, Never Forget, TYuS relocated to Los Angeles and jumped into the studio with Hit-Boy to create his latest project Phases.
“My life in particular is always going through phases,” he explained about the EP. “Ever since I could remember, I was always moving from one phase to the next. That really influences the music. This is currently a growing phase for me. It’s time to go all in. So, that’s what I did on this EP.”
