Watch: Lloyd Joins Big K.R.I.T. in Retro Video for “1999”

Lloyd takes a trip back in time with rapper Big K.R.I.T. in the retro video for their collaboration “1999,” off the rappers acclaimed album 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time.

The Tyler Yee-directed clip is set “somewhere near Atlanta on Oct. 27, 1999” and it opens with Young Krizzle in a DeLorean with a CD player in hand.

To go along with the No Limit-inspired chorus, K.R.I.T. rocks camouflage pants as he spits his bars in a parking lot. “Back that ass up like it’s 1999,” Lloyd sings to a group of ladies in ’90s-inspired outfits. Wearing a Playboy Club shirt, the crooner handles the second verse as well, praising his down for life shawty.

“Million dollar n***a since a youngin’ / And if the police coming then I’m runnin’,” sings Lloyd. “And if I go to jail then my baby post the bail / N***a, n***a, I ain’t worried ’bout nothing.”

Later, the guys enjoy a limousine ride, where they flex in front of a fisheye lens in a likely nod to Hype Williams.
