Raheem DeVaughn keeps his ‘Beat Jack’ series going strong. This week, the Love King releases remixes of Drake’s new #1 hit “Nice for What” and Tink’s new song “Faded,” off her Pain & Pleasure EP.
On the Drizzy track, which samples Lauryn Hill’s “Ex Factor,” the D.C. crooner joins in the female empowerment theme celebrating his Queen.
“You’re such a Queen girl you need a crown on ya,” sings Raheem on the opening verse. “You deserve a pedestal, no looking down on me / You’re a first lady / You an MVP / A rose in the concrete, such a sight to see.”
Next, DeVaughn gets “Faded” by his lover as he sings about his addiction to her touch.
“There ain’t a 12-step for my addiction to your touch baby,” he sings. “Like shots of Hennessy intoxicated me / Like pills and potions baby / This is ecstasy.” Turning the remix into a duet vibe, Raheem adds seductive harmonies and ad-libs under Tink’s hook and verse.
It’s smoothier than Henny, get a taste below.
