Eric Bellinger got bars too! The R&B hitmaker was on a promo run in New York City this week in support of his brand new album Eazy Call. One of his first stops was “Sway In The Morning” on SiriusXM, where in addition to an interview he took part in their infamous “5 Fingers of Death” freestyle segment.
The concept is easy, the DJ plays 5 instrumentals back-to-back and the featured guest, usually a rapper, has to keep their freestyle going straight thru. For most R&B artists, this isn’t the normal creative style, but Eric is different. The melodic mastermind puts his talent on full display over the 5 surprise beats, dropping a variety of styles or genres for each one!
He’s an R&B singer, but he’s also an occasional blinger. Bellringers press play below!
During his interview, Eric spoke about the new album of course, breaking down the creative process and direction behind certain tracks including “Role Play,” “Not a Love Song” and more. Plus, of course he addressed his diss track to Tory Lanez and explained the situation. Check it out below.
