Tone Stith received such great feedback from his recent cover of H.E.R.’s song “Focus” that he has released a sleek visual to accompany it. The rising R&B Freshman enjoys the southern California weather in the video as he cruises around in his vintage convertible BMW.
Taking a break from driving Tone stops to take in the sunset over the ocean as he ponders a relationship and sings his heartfelt response.
“Out on the road / All this none stop working I can not stop thinking ’bout you,” he croons. “Girl when you’re gone I’m all alone / And you don’t have a clue that I don’t want to give up.”
The struggle between career and love is almost too hard to bare, but Stith stresses his commitment if she can just meet him in the middle. “I get this money so we can live this way,” he sings with his signature falsetto. “But you feel alone even when I get home … I don’t want to give up / Can you just meet me in the middle / Darling work with me just a little.”
The surprise visual comes just days before his regularly scheduled #ToneTuesday release, which has seen him release an amazing tribute to Maxwell, a response/cover to Kehlani’s “Honey,” plus official music videos for his songs “Get It Right,” “Date” and “Let Me.”
Check out the video above and stay tuned for new music coming soon.
