Azekel follows the funky “Wetty Betty” with an instantly infectious new groove titled “Mr. Taxi Man.” The London based crooner unveils the track as the latest release from the third chapter ‘Youth’ off his forthcoming album Our Father, due out later this year.
The singer/producer showcases his vast influences on the summer up-tempo, which boasts a sugary bassline and his soulful vocals.
“Speeding through the traffic / That safety belt couldn’t keep me shit,” he sings. “Riding through London, yeah, with the sun in our head … Mr. Taxi man, come and drive me away.”
‘Youth’ is being told across a trio of songs, “Wetty Betty,” “Mr. Taxi Man” and the upcoming “Good Wine.”
Previous chapters ‘Family‘ and ‘Mental Health‘ have been accompanied by beautifully directed, Malick Sidibé inspired short films by The Rest (Kojey Radical, Little Simz).
