SZA invites us into a fantasy paradise in the anticipated video for “Garden (Say It Like Dat).”
Directed by Karena Evans (Drake’s “God’s Plan” and “Nice for What”), the dreamlike visual was shot around a forest and rocky beach in Maui. It opens at night with SZA lying in the sand. As the sun rises she explores the majestic landscape and cozies up to her man, played by Donald Glover.
At the end, she is joined by her mother Audrey Rowe, dressed in all white, perched on a throne. “Mommy u mean more than energy provides. My Ace, My apex. My co-designer,” SZA wrote.
The gold-certified “Garden” is the latest release from SZA’s platinum debut Ctrl and follows videos for “Doves in the Wind,” “Broken Clocks,” “Supermodel,” “The Weekend,” “Drew Barrymore,” and “Love Galore.”
