Jessie Reyez is continuing to give us the goods. Following “Body Count,” the soulful singer-songwriter has shared the new song “Apple Juice.” The subtle, acoustic based track will appear on her much-anticipated upcoming new EP, which is due out this fall via Island Records/FMLY.
Produced by Tim Suby and Fred Ball, the song is a rich, endearing ballad about the uphill battles of learning to love and the challenges faced.
“You just gotta, just gotta love me,” she sings to a lover who is worthy of her training. “Don’t let goodbyes come too easy / Love me, just let me know that you need me / Love me, I’ll teach you how to love me.”
Fans will be excited to hear that Reyez is planning to release new music every few weeks for the rest of the summer leading into her new EP release, which follows her breakout Kiddo EP.
