She may have just dropped the short yet sweet single “Joanna,” but talented songstress JoJo is here to let fans know that she’s done keeping them waiting for new music. Releasing the relatable new single “Sabotage,” the former child star pours out her feelings on the bass-driven track.
Featuring fellow Warner Records rapper Chika, the new soul-infused track hears her discussing a love lost and questioning whether or not it was because she happened to sabotage it herself. Singing out, “Every time I hear them talk about you / I wonder did I play myself / And sabotage love / Every time I think about you / I wonder did I play myself / And sabotage love,” JoJo reminds us that everyone — at some point — sabotages something in their lives.
“Sabotage” is the lead single from her upcoming album, slated to arrive early 2020. And, if we can expect anything like what we’ve gotten from her with the two current songs in rotation, we know it’s going to be well worth the wait.
