England continues to prove the nation across the pond is ripe with talented musicians worth hearing in America. Making a big splash is London-based artist Elijah Melo. The quadruple threat, rapper/singer/songwriter/producer, is here with his latest track “Peace.”
On top of laying down the vocals, Melo wrote and produced “Peace.” On the electric guitar-laced beat, he sings about feeling at peace with his significant other. “I’m just trying to be your peace, peace / and I’ll be all that you need.” He wanted to share positive vibes about appreciating what we have around us, especially with the current Coronavirus pandemic affecting the world.
Melo, 25, said his music ranges from slow jams influenced by the sounds and nuances of the 90s era, to modern day hip hop. He highlights his rapping ability on his previous single “Back 2 Back,” released in March. In two singles before that, “Keep It 4 Me” and “Foolish,” he shows off his vocal ability. Another song worth streaming is “Call My Name.” The artist says his music has more than 1.6 million plays on streaming platforms.
