Babyface and Ella Mai’s new single “Keeps On Fallin” gives classic, modern R&B vibes

Legendary singer, songwriter, and producer Babyface and Ella Mai team up for the first time on their new single, “Keeps on Fallin,” just in time for summer, and it does not disappoint R&B lovers.

“Keeps On Fallin”  gives the vibe of a classic Babyface track, with a modern, R&B vibe. The song is not too fast, but not too slow, making it a perfect mid-tempo song to let the top back in the car and just vibe. The song is simply about love and how it feels to continue to fall in love with the same person- over and over again.

The R&B songstress’s undeniable vocals start the song with the first verse, talking about her man and the butterflies he gives her. Mai also says, “she loves him on his worst day.” Babyface comes in on the second verse, letting Mai know, she’s Ella Mai and she’s the reason for his love. “You gotta give yourself some credit, So baby, don’t forget. Girls like you make the world go round, You make the world go round and round.”

Babyface says “When I first heard Ella’s voice, I thought, ‘what an incredible and distinctive voice, I have to get in the studio with her! Well, I did…and it was everything I imagined and more!”

“Working with Babyface was an absolute dream come true for me,” says Ella Mai. “To be welcomed and praised by someone so talented and acclaimed, I couldn’t have asked for our ‘Keeps On Fallin’ sessions to be any better. We sang we wrote, we laughed and we talked. Babyface is so humble and a pleasure to work with, I hope this record is the start of many more.”

BET also just announced that Babyface and Ella Mai will be performing at the 2022 BET Awards on Sunday, June 26 in Los Angeles, Calif., but it has not been confirmed that the duo will perform the single together.
