Stellar Award Winner, James Fortune releases a new single in collaboration with legendary R&B award-winning singer /songwriter Monica, titled “Trusting God.
Fortune and Monica joined forces and deliver a song that aims to serve as inspiration and motivation for God’s people to stay focused on him and the promise he has given them.
The collaboration comes over a decade after their Grammy-nominated song “Hold On” alongside Fred Hammond.
James Fortune’s latest album My Life was nominated for Outstanding Gospel/Christian Album at the 54th annual NAACP Image Awards.
“Trusting God” is a beautifully melodic song that really touches the soul with lyrics that speak to when our faith is shaken, it reminds us to be still and know that our God is still in control. “..There were times that my faith wasn’t there/ but you were…/”So I’m just out here trusting God/When I don’t understand your plan for me/And I’m just out here believing every word you promised me…/Be Still and Know, and know, that God, that God is in control “Still in control…”
