As one of the most influential and talented impactful groups of the ’90s, the legends ‘Soul For Real’s’ music has stood the test of time and is still a very relevant and vital component of the R&B genre.
Hailing from Wynadanch New York, the R&B quartet is composed of the four Dalyrimple brothers-Brain, Chris, Dre, and Jason, who spent many hours singing in their church choir and eventually forming the hot R&B group “Soul For Real.” Know for their platinum-certified hit songs, “Candy Rain” and “Every Little Thing I Do,” the group was discovered by the late Heavy D and signed to Uptown Records headed up by the late, Andre Harrell in 1995. After touring both America and overseas, the group worked with producers Heavy D. and Sean “Puffy” Combs to record “For Life.” 1999 saw the release of a third album, “Heat.”

They shared experiences working with Heavy D, Andre Harell, and Sean “Puffy” Combs, and their TV One’s Unsung episode. Some hilarious stories about the “420-friendly weed-map” for Notorious BIG and Lil’ Cease, as well as the solid advice they offer on knowing your craft, education, and business.
The brothers shared what’s next for them with upcoming projects and endeavors in the works including TV/film, fresh new music, and becoming the “Wu-Tang Clan of R&B!
“Soul For Real” has such a special bond and genuine warmth and respect between them that shines through in the way they allow each other time and space to relive each other’s stories and experiences.
