Popular southern recording artists Alexia Jayy and Big K.R.I.T. cuddle up to kick off cuffing season with the release of their new collaboration, simply titled “You.”
Produced by Jim Jonsin and Wlpwr, the Southern love song matches AJ’s fascinating vocal abilities with Krizzle’s slick-talking, southern-fried, wordplay to consummate their love connection. “You” is a great addition to your playlist as the cuffing season approaches.
The new collaboration originates from Alexia Jayy’s love for Big K.R.I.T.’s music as one of her favorite hip-hop stars.
“I became a K.R.I.T. fan when I heard a song called ‘Ride With Me,’” said Alexia Jayy. “From that day he’s been one of My favorites so when Jim Jonsin asked who I hear on YOU as a feature because he heard Big K.R.I.T., I was like “Yes, I love him, he’s one of my favorites. Can we actually get him? Jim smiled and said, ‘Let me reach out.’ I was so excited! Then when we finally got the song back I was shocked! It was kind of surreal hearing him on one of my songs. He doesn’t even know how appreciated he is.”
“You” follows a string of popular songs by the Mobile, Alabama, singer/songwriter in 2023. Jayy’s previous song, “I Need A Man,” continues to generate huge streaming numbers across all platforms. All setting up a highly-anticipated full-length album in the works on Julius Talent Partners.
The previous tracks from Alexia Jayy have garnered consignment by Chris Brown, Muni Long, Jazmine Sullivan, and more.
K.R.I.T. appears on the track via Multi Alumni/BMG.
