Warner Records hosted Andra Day’s Cassandra (Cherith) album performance and playback at the Sun Rose in West Hollywood.
This week Warner Records co-chair and COO Tom Corson welcomed 150 music industry execs, partners, influencers, and celebrities to a special performance and playback for Grammy award-winning artist Andra Day’s forthcoming album Cassandra (Cherith) out May 10.
The event was held at the Sun Rose room inside The Pendry in W. Hollywood. The soft pink decor, nature sounds, and earth elements created a desert vibe similar to Andra’s album cover art. Guests sipped on Moet Rosé champagne and decadent bites throughout the night.
Award-winning journalist Danyel Smith spoke to Andra about the process of writing and producing the new album. The candid conversation on love, relationships, and faith created memorable moments that made the playback interactive and relatable.
Andra sang four songs from her forthcoming album Cassandra (Cherith), including her latest single “Probably,” for which she gave an outstanding performance that received a standing ovation.
Guests included Evan Ross, Lee Daniels, Kelly Rowland, Dominique Fishback, BJ The Chicago Kid, Gallant, and more.
