Motown Gospel is having a major moment as its roster earns 11 nominations for the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, recognizing another standout year for Gospel music, worship and contemporary faith-driven artistry.
Leading the label’s impressive showing are Jonathan McReynolds, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Tye Tribbett, Pastor Mike Jr., and JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, with nominations spanning several of the ceremony’s key Gospel categories.
Jonathan McReynolds leads the charge with recognition for “One Good God (Live)” and “Still (Live),” along with a Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year nomination for Closer (Live in Chicago). Tasha Cobbs Leonard earns nods for “Already Good (Tasha Slide),” her collaboration with John Legend on “Church,” and her album TASHA.
Tye Tribbett is also recognized for “Yahweh Flow (Live In San Francisco)” and his live project Only On The Road (Live), while Pastor Mike Jr. receives nominations for “Sunday Morning” with Tauren Wells and Confetti & Conspiracies: The Amen Mixtape. JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise round out the label’s nominations with The Live Reunion: Washington, DC (Live / Deluxe).
The 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place October 6 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, with the ceremony airing October 9 on TBN and TBN+.
