Kirk Franklin is making moves! The 20x-GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel icon is kicking off a new era with his latest single “This Time,” featuring Memphis powerhouse GloRilla, and the collaboration is bringing some serious energy.
Franklin and GloRilla make an unexpected but exciting pairing, blending his unmistakable gospel sound with her bold hip-hop presence. “This Time” gives GloRilla an opportunity to show another side of her artistry, while Franklin delivers the uplifting energy that has made him one of the most influential names in gospel music.
And the new single is just the beginning. Franklin recently announced a major partnership with Uptown Records, in collaboration with his Fo Yo Soul Entertainment and TRIBL Music Group. The announcement comes as the legendary label celebrates its 40th anniversary and enters another chapter of its storied legacy.
The partnership sets the stage for Franklin’s highly anticipated fourteenth solo album, I Am What I Am, arriving October 30.
Franklin has already been building momentum with “Thank You For Everything,” featuring gospel legend Karen Clark Sheard of the Clark Sisters. The powerful collaboration has been making noise at Gospel radio, with its official video also receiving a television debut on BET Her.
