Robin Thicke paid a visit to Hot 97 while in NYC for an interview with Angie Martinez. The debonair crooner spoke about the fun-filled video for his hot single “Blurred Lines” featuring T.I. & Pharrell, and the explicit version featuring topless models. He shared the concept behind the visual, which was directed by Diane Martel, and said that his wife, actress Paula Patton, actually loves the video.

He revealed that the idea behind the song, which he came up with in the studio with Pharrell, is based on two old men sitting on a porch hollering at girls as they walk by (Hey Hey Hey adlibs). “We danced like old men when we were in the studio making the song, laughing the whole time,” said Robin, who also shared how T.I. went in right away imitating dances from Redd Foxx and Bill Cosby.

Robin spoke about singing at Michael Jordan’s recent wedding, and how his son cried because he wanted him to perform more songs. He explained why he had to leave the new season of comedy show ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ to finish up his new album, and due to the worldwide success of his new single, so he could travel to promote it. The 36-year old discussed the film that he is directing, which stars Paula, and he shared some relationship advice to maintain a strong marriage.
