If you didn’t already know, Kelly Rowland is gracing the cover of Essence Magazine’s new September issue. HipHollywood was invited to the private photoshoot and captured some behind-the-scenes footage of the R&B diva posing in various glamorous looks.
In the issue, the 32-year-old opens up about her career, her relationship with Beyoncé and finding personal strength — figuratively and literally. Aside from her workouts with trainer Jeanette Jenkins, Kelly has taken up boxing.
“I see the beauty in boxing,” she says. “It teaches me strength, physically but mostly mentally. I had to learn my strength, because for so long I could have been tougher than I was.”
