List: The Best of May – Top 15 Records

By

Sasha Keable – ‘Sweetest Talk’

The month of May really brought out the heavy-hitters and South London songstress Sasha Keable is definitely one of them! Making a first time appearance on the site with her single, “Sweetest Talk,” the singer belted out with all of her might over the popping production. Leaving no room for disappointment, the single – which is lifted from her Lemongrass & Limeleaves EP – has been a steady play in and around our headquarters.

Kelly Price feat. Ruben Studdard – ‘Back 2 Love’

With a mere few days until the release of her upcoming LP, Sing, Pray, Love Vol 1: Sing, Kelly Price brings her fans a new treat with former American Idol star, Ruben Studdard. Titled “Back 2 Love,” the two soulful singers created nothing less than pure magic with her newest single. While you wait for the full album to hit shelves on June 3, get “Back 2 Love” now!

Meelah feat. Musiq Souldchild  – ‘Give It To You’

After landing a spot on this seasons ‘R&B Divas: Atlanta,’ former 702 member Meelah Williams is taking advantage of her reaffirmed stardom and it’s obviously working for her! Landing on our list with her new single, “Give It To You,” Meelah and Musiq Soulchild surely gave it to us this time around. Filled with sexy sounds, this is one we couldn’t miss when it came to this list.

Joe feat. 50 Cent – Mary Jane (Remix)

Veteran singer Joe is back to take over the R&B scene and we’d like to say he’s doing a damn good job at it. Calling on past collaborator 50 Cent, the crooner samples the 1978 Rick James classic by the same title. Of course featuring his outstanding vocals and 50’s hardcore bars, the fresh new take is well deserving of a spot on this month’s roundup.

Trey Songz – Change Your Mind

Releasing two back to back singles this month, R&B heartthrob Trey Songz has a certified banger on his hands. Dubbed as what will surely be a hit for the mainstream, Trigga Trey is doing all he can to keep the attention on his upcoming July album. Following the road of his other mainstream hits such as “Heart Attack” and “Bottoms Up,” it’s no wonder why Trey will always have a place in our hearts with his many talents.

No Mila J or her sis Jhene??? But still a good list. I am excited about R&B this year.

Thanks! Mila was on the March list with “Smoke, Drink, Break-Up,” and Jhene didn’t have anything new this month, besides her rap version to “Stay Ready.”
