So apparently we missed this joint about a week ago in the shuffle. British songstress Jessie Ware has returned with a brand new single “Tough Love,” co-written by herself and BenZel (Benny Blanco and Two Inch Punch) and produced by BenZel.
The track features a subtle, filtered ’80s synth vibe, but Ware’s sultry vocals carry just enough soul to evoke the emotion of the personal lyrics. “When your heart becomes a million different pieces / That’s when you won’t be able to recognize those feelings,” she sings out.
In a press release, Ware describes the making of “Tough Love” as “me experimenting with my voice and having fun with it.”
