List: The Best of August – Top 15 Records

By

Justine Skye feat. Tyga – Collide

If you know DJ Mustard, you know that almost anything that he touches becomes a hit. R&B songstress Justine Skye’s newest single “Collide” is no different. Featuring Cali rapper Tyga, the sultry single has us yearning for more from the Brooklyn native. Singing out “It’s all yours if you want me,” we’re surely wanting more of what she’s offering.

Luke James – Stay With Me (Cover)

Although this isn’t an official Luke James release, we just couldn’t help but classify it as one of the top releases from August. Blowing us away yet again with his supreme vocals, the singer took on Sam Smith’s hit single, “Stay With Me” and had us holding on to every note. Supplying us with his chilling rendition of the beloved single, our first listen was a jaw dropping moment, and we’re sure if you haven’t heard it yet yours will be the same.

K’Jon – A Beautiful Thing

Detroit singer K’Jon hits us with another smooth sounding grown and sexy tune! Titled “A Beautiful Thing,” the newest single from the veteran crooner has us reminiscing on the good things in life. While a follow-up to 2013’s Man has not yet been announced, fans will just have to use this new single to get ready for what’s to come.

Lauriana Mae – Will She Be Loved

Lauriana Mae brings the groove with her single “Will She Be Loved.” Released from Hot 97 radio host and DJ, Peter Rosenberg’s upcoming compilation Winter Is Coming, the New Jersey songstress impresses with her jazzy vocals. Taking us back to the days of smoke filled lounges, Lauriana continues to be a new artist to keep your eyes on.

Angie Fisher – I.R.S.

If you haven’t had the chance to hear Angie Fisher’s voice on her new single “I.R.S.,” prepare to be blown away! Written by Grammy-nominated writer/producer B.Slade, Angie’s supreme vocals will take you to a place that only true music was meant to go. Known previously as a background singer for some of the greats, it’s time now that we get used to seeing Ms. Fisher in the limelight.
