Mark your calendars. Ciara has set a release date for her sixth studio album Jackie.
The project, named after her mother, is scheduled to arrive May 4 via Epic Records. She revealed the sexy cover art, shot by fashion photographer Francesco Carrozzini, earlier in the week.
“I could not be any more happy than I am about my album cover and packaging,” says Ciara. “Much like my music, I was able to express my vision creatively exactly how I wanted to. Working with Francesco was truly an honor and a dream come true. I feel we were able to create a timeless image.”
She has assembled an all-star team of collaborators for the follow-up to 2013’s Ciara including Dr. Luke, Polow Da Don, Harmony Samuels, The Underdogs, Rock City, Ester Dean, and Diane Warren.
The first single “I Bet” is currently No. 43 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the Harmony Samuels-produced song will soon get a dance remix featuring Joe Jonas, T.I., and DJ R3hab.
On May 3, Ciara will embark on her first tour in six years. The U.S. trek will make stops in 18 cities before winding down May 31 in San Francisco. See the full itinerary here.
