Singer/songwriter Victoria Monét follows up her retro inspried single “90s Babies,” with the second release off her forthcoming EP, Nightmares & Lullabies: Act II, due out June 16.
The track, entitled “High Luv,” is a flickering, vibey tune produced by Tommy Brown (T.I., 2 Chainz) and Monét lightly seduces with a delicate vocal.
“We always start off small, with minimal sounds,” Victoria Monét told Pigeons&Planes. “Tommy Brown has all these lasers in the studio so it was really vibed out. And that’s just the idea that came to mind. Once the little reference was done, they want back and re-produced everything and added all these sounds, and drums, and little extra things that made it feel special to me.”
