Progressive R&B chanteuse FKA twigs returns with the surprise EP M3LL155X. The project contains five songs, and twigs has released videos for four of them, Beyoncé-style. Also like Beyoncé’s last album, this release was made in close collaboration with singer-songwriter Boots.
The videos for “Figure 8,” “I’m Your Doll”, “In Time,” and “Glass & Patron,” are directed by FKA twigs herself. According to a press release, the four pieces coalesce into a single work — a “statement conceptualizing the process of feeling pregnant with pain, birthing creativity and liberation.”
