Rising artist JR Castro is a man out for vengeance in the video game inspired short-film style music video for his buzzing debut single “Get Home” featuring Kid Ink and Quavo (of Migos).
Set in the singers hometown of Las Vegas, the video-directed by Marc Klasfeld (Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chili Peppers)-shows an even darker side of Sin City. Seen through his own eyes is a tale of ones past coming back to haunt him, and the passion of doing anything and everything to save the one he loves. The single plays in the background as the soundtrack to the violent and erotic tale.
“I looked at it like this, you only have one chance to make a first impression. One chance to rep my city and show where I am from,” says Castro. “Everyone is expecting the normal video with cars, paid for models and fur coats… I’m trying to elevate the creative. To constantly think outside the box… I’m a big Quentin Tarantino and video game fan so I combined the two mediums and presented a stimulating piece of fiction. I hope you enjoy”
