The 2015 Soul Train Awards borrowed a page from the BET Hip Hop Awards as they premiered the first ever ‘Soul Cypher’ on Sunday night.
Lead by the show’s host, Erykah Badu aka DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown, an unexpected mix of soulful singers came together for the magical moment in Soul Train history.
Chrisette Michele, Lalah Hathaway, K-Ci (of Jodeci), and the legendary Eddie Levert (of the O’Jays) all sang over Mobb Deep’s 1995 classic “Shook Ones Pt. II,” and killed it!
