After 12 years, Miguel, has finally popped the big question to his longtime model girlfriend Nazanin Mandi. Miguel, 30, and Nazanin, 29, met when the “Adorn” singer was only 18 years old, the two have been inseparable since.
There have been no details revealed on when he actually proposed, but an insider tells E! News that they’ve always known they’d be together for a lifetime.
Nazanin posted a very subtle photo to IG on Monday with a brand new rock that only a fool could miss. The insider says the proposal was “very heartfelt and real” and “done perfectly.” As a true R&B singer and songwriter it would only make sense if he did a special tribute to the future Mrs. Pimentel.
“Miguel will definitely be singing his soon-to-be wife a tune when their wedding takes place,” the source reveals.
This news is especially exciting because when asked about marriage earlier last year during his interview with Hot 97, Miguel didn’t seem very ready – “I think now people throw things around like marriage. I just wasn’t raised like that.”
He went on, “I don’t feel pressure because I know that when I commit, I really commit. Now it’s just thrown around because it’s so easy to breakup. And I’m just not that kind of person. I’m just not gonna do that. I wouldn’t do that to her. That’s just not how I was raised. I just don’t feel like that would be honorable.”
Sounds like Miguel wanted it to be a “Sure Thing”. Congrats to the lovely couple!
