A week after the release of their surprise joint album TWENTY88, Jhené Aiko and Big Sean debut a 16-minute short film called “Out of Love,” comprised of several songs off the project.
The duo shows off their chemistry while portraying adult film stars of the future. They attend the XXX adult film awards and hit the bedroom for some intimate scenes while the camera rolls.
According to Flaunt magazine, they drew inspiration from ’70s blaxploitation films including 1973’s Coffy starring Pam Grier, Roger Moore’s Bond films, and 2015’s sci-fi flick Ex Machina.
“It’s a ’70s aesthetic, but we’re in the future,” Aiko tells the magazine.
TWENTY88 is now available at all digital retailers.
