For once the rumors held true! Frank Ocean has finally released his official, oft-delayed sophomore album!
Following the visual album Endless and a video for “Nikes,” the singer-songwriter has delivered Blonde, the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s channel ORANGE. Previously expected to be titled Boys Don’t Cry, the project hit Apple Music early Saturday evening.
The 17-track album features contributions from music’s biggest names including Beyoncé, André 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Jazmine Sullivan, and more.
The cover art shows a shirtless Ocean with a hand over his face, sporting green hair and a bandaged finger. The title is spelled ‘blond’ on the cover, and listed as ‘Blonde’ across iTunes.
To coincide with the launch, Ocean has opened pop-up shops in various cities including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and London where he is giving out free copies of his ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ magazine to fans.
