Meet Archie, an emerging new duo made up of Scandinavian singer Selma Belmaizi and producer Bjarke Sørensen. After a chance meeting while attending the same university, the two found similar influences in their musical tastes, and began crafting a sound together.
The first product of which is an infectious, feel-good, uptempo track titled “Whenever You’re Ready.” Selma displays an angelic vocal, over Bjarke’s funky basslines and bouncy drums.
With a blend of ’90s Pop/R&B and ’80s funk the vibe is bright and lively while Selma sings out to a boy to quit playing games, and let her know when he’s ready to give her all his love.
Archie is currently finishing up their debut EP, Breeze of Ages, which will be released soon.
