Jake&Papa are getting the call for love.
On their first single of 2017, entitled “Phones,” the R&B duo serve some sensual melodies over intoxicating production by Bizness Boi. The brothers sing a tale of stimulating passion with clever wordplay about two souls connecting on a deep, metaphysical level, going beyond man’s modern understanding.
“I hear your body callin’ / Callin’ my name / Who need phones, who need phones / I hear your body callin’ / Callin’ for me / Who need phones, who need phones,” they sing on the chorus. Painting a sexy visual to start the second verse Papa sings, “You come over with nothing but a trench coat and your choker on / Then you throw it back like some overalls / I am best lover overall.”
