Brooklyn based singer/songwriter Adrian Daniel returns with a darkly seductive ode to a powerful women on his brand new single, “Havoc.”
Daniel connects with German producer Reisender for the hypnotic alt-R&B love song, where he sings about an irresistible attraction to a savage chanteuse.
“‘Havoc’ is about Rihanna honestly, or the women like her,” says AD. “I have this unbelievable attraction to powerful women. I just wanted to make the theme music for the women I find incredible.”
Over a slightly sinister synth bed Adrian opens the track singing: “She got a body like a goddess and she really ain’t for being modest / She’ll take you deep as darkest thoughts can / Turn you on, man I’m just being honest.” He continues, “She took a 40, threw it back, I said ‘Oh Lord’ / She throw it on me when she mad, she don’t fall off.”
Following 2016’s ‘Disillusions’ EP, touring and his debut at SXSW earlier this spring, Adrian Daniel is off and running for 2017.
“Havoc” is the first single off his upcoming full length project, which is due out in the fall. Take a listen below.
